Update #2 2/15/13: The bill will now move to the Appropriations Committee, find out how you can take action today! Further updates will be posted here.

Update #1  2/14/13: As reported by 970 WFLA and others, the bill to ban red light cameras passed by a margin of 10 to 8 in the House Committee on Economic Affairs. Local Representative Ed Hooper voted against the ban, Hooper has also received donations from ATS. The rest of the Committee votes are reported below.

Original Post: The Florida House of Representatives’ Economic Affairs Committee will hold a Public Hearing on House Bill 4011 this Thursday, 2/14/13, at 9:00am. This bill will effectively ban red light cameras in the State of Florida.

Constituents are urged to contact the Committee members listed below and ask them to support HB 4011, be sure to leave your name and zip code if leaving a voice-mail.

Update: with HB 4011 passing Committee, it is now time to encourage your State House Representative to support the passage of this bill. It is also crucially important to contact your State Senate Representative to pass matching legislation so we can finally get these things repealed.
