The other day someone asked Mark Bircher (candidate for US Congressional District 13) why military men have such a hard time adjusting to life in Washington. Mr. Bircher fairly rejected the premise, saying he did not see that military men did have difficulty, citing those such as Washington, Eisenhower, and Grant. There are others. Jackson, Taylor, Eisenhower, Truman, Kennedy, Carter, and both Bush’s. In fact 31 out of 44 Presidents served (70%).
Campaigning for McKalip
All politics are local, and if we wish to take back our nation, we must first start in our cities. The Republican Liberty Caucus of Tampa Bay (RLCTB) is taking on that task. In lieu of their regular meeting, they will host their monthly Regional Meeting at the campaign headquarters of Dr. David McKalip, who is running for St. Petersburg City Council, District 4 (bio and positions outlined below).Read more -

Within the first half of May 2013, a trio of troubles has worked in tandem to undermine President Obama’s credibility. These problems surfaced only days after Obama had urged the spring 2013 graduating class at Ohio State University to reject the warnings from critics cautioning Americans of the trip towards tyranny taken by his administration.
News stories regarding the likelihood of a cover-up in the Benghazi attack, evidence of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) auditing and harassing Conservative and LibertarianGroups in the last three years, and the Justice Department’s illegal wiretapping of Associated Press (AP) journalists further call into question whether Obama’s actions are speaking louder or even contradicting his words.Read more -
The US Army Corps of Engineers wants to hear from YOU about the future of the Pier. Please write a letter and email in support of the Pier! Destroying the current pier and replacing it with the Lens with out a vote is not the right thing to do! Even worse, the impact will be felt by the entire county and those of us not residing in St. Petersburg have no say even if it does go to a vote.
Use this request for letters as your opportunity to express your concerns as a resident of Pinellas County!Read more -
On behalf of the taxpayers of Pinellas County, local Patriot Patrick Wheeler has reached into his pocket to pay the majority of the legal fees to bring the Pinellas County Commission into compliance with the will of the Pinellas voters who overwhelmingly (73%) passed a local referendum for term limits in our county for the commissioners in 1996. Unbelievably, 16 years later, the commissioners continue on as though this never occurred.
After a Florida Supreme Court Ruling in May 2012, Mr. Wheeler filed suit in July 2012 to force the Pinellas Commissioners to comply.
The first round was their attempt to have the suit dismissed by the Judge in early December at the first hearing. They lost and then promptly hired 4 more attorneys bringing their headcount to 8! As of this date the county has now hired 8 attorneys to beat the lawsuit.
If the lawsuit proves favorable for the plaintiffs, 4 Pinellas County Commissioners out of 7 will be outed.
This is huge opportunity to return our county to justice and out of the hands of career politicians spending us into bankruptcy and high taxes. This will help send a message that the people’s vote matters.
If you would like more details on how to help, please refer to the South Pinellas 912 group’s page .
